Micro-mobility company CityBike Global has ordered 3,360 smart e-bikes from Vaimoo for its sharing service, called Mevo, in the Polish cities of Gdansk, Gdynia and Sopot.
The e-bikes will have fast-swappable batteries and their frames will be made from recycled aluminium. As ‘smart’ e-bikes they will be able to integrate with other modes of transport, and will allow users to leave them in virtual stations at the end of a rental.
CityBike Global already runs a fleet of more than 30,000 vehicles in Europe and Latin America, in cities that include Helsinki, Paris and Lima. It has already deployed the Vaimoo e-bike in Stockholm, Sweden.
